Open beta · Windows 10 and 11

The honest PC optimizer for Windows power users, developers, and gamers.

Your system, explained before it is changed. Tempered reads the machine, finds the real constraint, and proposes a measured fix. You approve it. You can undo it.

The honest optimizer. No snake oil, no fake issues, no silent changes.

Not for: macOS or Linux, or anyone who wants a one-click "boost" button with no explanation.

Explained

Plain language before permission.

Tempered tells you what is slowing the PC down, why the proposed change helps, and what it will touch.

02

Measured

Real deltas, not a score.

Read boot-time changes, memory reclaimed, temperatures, and live load without invented health percentages.

03

Revertible

Every change leaves an undo path.

Restore a setting from the Undo Center instead of guessing what an optimizer silently changed.

Observe. Explain. Act once.

Most optimizer software starts with a dramatic diagnosis. Tempered starts with the readings and shows its work.

Finding 03 / 05 Discord adds 9 seconds after sign-in.

Safe to disable at startup. The application stays installed and can still be opened normally.

    Read the system

Live load, startup work, memory pressure, temperatures, and active processes.

  2. 02
    State the constraint

A plain-language finding with the process or setting that caused it.

  3. 03
    Ask before changing

One clear action, expected result, and a recorded route back.

The loop for real — an unedited 35-second capture: ask the advisor, approve the fix, see it land in the Undo Center, revert it.

Approve a fix. Watch it land in the ledger.

Sample data — a replay of real findings, not a reading of your PC. The real app measures first.

One instrument. Six useful views.

Game Mode, anti-cheat safe

Classify what is running, suspend safe background apps, and turn on Game Mode.

Anti-cheat safe: no kernel drivers, no process injection, no game-memory access. Game-related changes are configuration-file only.

Your AI tools, read-only · Torque

Local MCP server for Claude Code and Claude Desktop — strictly read-only, loopback only.

Inspect

Anti-cheat safe by design.

No kernel drivers, no process injection, no game-memory access. Game Mode suspends background apps and restores them after — none of the techniques anti-cheat systems ban.

The safest change is the one you can account for.

Tempered keeps a ledger of what changed, when it changed, and how to put it back. Empty is a good sign.

Free tools cover basic cleaning.

Tempered adds AI-assisted analysis, per-change approval, and one-click undo. If a free tool does what you need, use it — and Tempered's free tier is the full core app, so the comparison costs nothing to run yourself.

The app is free. The AI work is what you pay for.

Every limit is a stated number — nothing here is sold as "unlimited," because a cap you cannot see is not a promise.

Free

$0

forever

The whole core app: dashboard, process manager, startup, tweaks, junk cleaning, apps, specs, Undo Center. Not a trial, and no upsell nags inside them.

Torque

$5.99

per month, billed annually · $7.99 month to month

Every deep scan with generous caps, the Task Manager, Process Watch, the Developer Hub, and the opt-in advisor powers. 7-day free trial on the monthly plan, card required, started from inside the app.

Torque Max

per month, billed annually · $17.99 month to month

Limits high enough that you stop counting them. Still stated, still capped.

Direct answers.

No invented urgency. No unclear claims.

See all questions →
01Does Tempered clean the registry?

No. Tempered does not use registry cleaning as a performance claim and does not inflate a list of invented issues.

02Will it change settings without asking?

No. Recommendations explain the expected effect and wait for approval. Changes are recorded in the Undo Center.

03Which versions of Windows are supported?

Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit.

04Is this another PC health score?

No. Tempered favors observable readings and before-and-after deltas over a vague score.
